Trudy joined OVHC in December 2015 as the Executive Director, overseeing all operations of the Health Center. She previously worked as the Director of Development / Chief Consultant - Advancement for Lower Lights Christian Health Center in Columbus, Ohio, as a member of the Senior Management Team, overseeing Development, Marketing, Spiritual Care, and Volunteers. She brings a wealth of experience in working with nonprofit organizations for more than 20 years. Trudy holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration / Office Administration from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, Graduate School of Business and Management. She has also taught on the college level in the Leadership & Ethics Program at Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Clinical Nurse Manager - Kathy Barker, R.N. (Kathyb@ovhealthcenter.org)
Trudy is married with two children and enjoys reading, crocheting, and fishing!
Kathy joined OVHC in November 2015 as the Clinical Nurse Manager, overseeing all Clinical functions of the Health Center. She brings both the clinical and administrative skills needed to ensure high-quality patient care as well as a highly-functioning clinical staff. Kathy worked for 20+ years as a Registered Nurse for Trinity Health Systems in many nursing and administrative positions.
Kathy is married with one adult child and enjoys cooking and traveling.
Certified Nurse Practioner - Dr. Denise Lucas, RN, MSN, FNP-BC (email@example.com)
Dr. Denise Lucas, Chair of the Department of Nursing at Wheeling Jesuit University, has a vast nursing and academic background. Dr. Lucas began her career with an Associate Degree in Nursing from West Virginia Northern Community College. Her BSN is from Wheeling College and MSN from Wheeling Jesuit University in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. She then pursued her PhD in Nursing from West Virginia University, where she studied women who work, yet remain poor and marginalized.
Dr. Lucas taught at WJU from 2003-2008 and took a hiatus to complete her doctoral studies. Upon completion of the studies, she was a faculty member at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she earned the position of Director of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Her Jesuit roots called, and she returned to WJU in the fall of 2015 as the Chair of the Department.
As a family nurse practitioner, Dr. Lucas has worked in many primary care settings, including free clinics, federally qualified health centers, and private physician practices. Along with her other medical pursuits, Dr. Lucas currently practices and precepts nurse practitioner students at OVHC.
Juliett began working for OVHC in 2011 as a Medical Assistant (MA) and now serves as the Pharmacy Assistant,

where she oversees all aspects of the in-house pharmacy. Additionally, Juliett oversees the work of Pharmacy Students as they volunteer at OVHC for their college programs. She enjoys reading and working on mission projects with her church.
Patient Navigator – Amanda Dyson (email@example.com)
Amanda joined the OVHC team in November 2014 as a Patient Navigator through a grant provided by the Ohio Association of Free Clinics. She is responsible for working with both OVHC patients and non-patients from the community to help uninsured individuals and families enroll in Medicaid or Marketplace Insurance programs. Additionally, Amanda volunteers at the Health Center in other capacities as needed. She is also a self-proclaimed football fanatic, enjoying both local and pro-football.
